In the last week of this month in Bihar, all government and private schools from sixth to eighth will be opened in the state. The education department of the state government has made its intention about this. Orders can be issued soon.

Education Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar told ‘Hindustan’ on Tuesday that all the middle schools will be opened in the last week of January. After this it is the turn to open primary schools. If everything goes well, in the first week of February, primary schools (first to fifth grade) of small children will be opened across the state. Then the schools of children from the 1st to the 12th will start to operate simultaneously. The Principal Secretary informed that the status of the state’s high schools and inter schools currently being run will be reviewed after January 18. Along with this, the order to operate middle schools will also be issued.

The guidelines issued to open school-colleges from January 4 to protect children from corona infection will also be complied with for middle and primary school children. It may be noted that from January 4 to class 9 to 12, only about 8000 schools are open across the state. The number of students studying in these is around 45 lakhs. At the same time, two crore children of more than 80 thousand schools from the first to the eighth are in the homes. Their schools have been closed since 14 March 2020.
