Lockdown 3.0 Announced

The Home Ministry has increased the lockdown on Friday evening for the third time for 2 more weeks. Due to increasing lockdown, rail, metro and air services will be closed in the country till May 17. So schools, colleges and educational institutions also will not open. In addition, hotels and restaurants will also be closed. Religious places will also remain closed.

In view of Corona’s transition, a 40-day lockdown was imposed in the country in 2 phases, which ended on 3 May. But 2 days before its end, the Ministry of Home Affairs has announced to increase the lockdown till 2 more weeks i.e. May 17. However the lockdown is also being opened in a phased manner.

Rail-metro-air service, all closed

The Home Ministry has increased the lockdown on Friday evening for the third time for 2 more weeks. Due to increasing lockdown, rail, metro and air services will be closed in the country till May 17. So schools, colleges and educational institutions also will not open.

In addition, hotels and restaurants will also be closed. Religious places will also remain closed. The mall, gym and cinema hall will also be closed till 17 May. This system will be applicable in all three zones.

However, along with increasing the lockdown, the exemption has been given in a phased manner. According to the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, some relief has been given in the districts falling in the Green and Orange zones as compared to the Red Zone.

No concession to Containment Zone

Local officials of the red zone areas have been asked to ensure that all residents of the zone’s containment zone have the Arogya Setu app downloaded. All can be monitored through the app in the Containment Zone. There will be no activity of any kind in the Containment Zone.

Also, there will be no movement of people inside and outside these zones except in medical emergencies and to maintain the supply of essential goods and services.

Schools, colleges and hotels will also be closed

Inter-state traffic by air, rail, metro and road will be closed in all zones. As well as the operation of schools, colleges, and other educational and training / coaching institutes; Hotel and Restaurant; Public function, cinema hall, mall, gym, sports complex etc. will remain closed.

Apart from this, along with social, political, cultural and other types of gatherings, religious places will also be closed. Permission will be granted to go by air, rail and road under special circumstances and only with the permission of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The movement of persons for all non-essential activities will be completely restricted between 7 pm and 7 am. Local authorities will issue orders under appropriation. Local administration will maintain curfew status in the area.

Children and Elderly are not Allowed

Above 65 years, unhealthy people, pregnant women and children under 10 years of age are not allowed to move out in all three zones.

Although OPD and medical clinics will remain open in all three zones Red, Orange and Green, people will have to follow social distance and other guidelines. But it will not be allowed in the Containment Zone.

All the activities will be stopped here like other parts of the country except the Containment Zone in the Red Zone. Rickshaws, auto rickshaws, taxis, cab aggregators (buses going to and from other districts in the district), barber shops, spas and salons will all remain closed.
