After 200 megapixels, now Samsung will bring that much megapixel camera
We are waiting for a smartphone with 200 megapixel camera right now. On the other hand, Samsung has started working on a 576 megapixel camera.
Samsung recently introduced the 200 megapixel camera sensor. This camera was named ISOCELL HP1. As of now, we are still waiting for a smartphone with 200 megapixel camera. On the other hand, Samsung has started working on a 576 megapixel camera. Many mobile brands have already launched the 108 megapixel camera smartphone. For this, these companies have used pixel binning technology.
Samsung has improved this technology for the ISOCELL HP1 and named it ChameleonCell, although it will still be interesting to see how Samsung will make the 576 megapixel camera.
Heichang Li, Samsung’s SVP and Head of Automative Sensors, was talking about the roadmap for a slide’s subject camera sensor, during a presentation during the SEMI Europe Summit 2021. At the same time it was told that Samsung can launch 576 megapixel camera in the market by 2025. During another report by GizChina, it has been confirmed that Samsung is planning to launch 576 megapixel camera in the market by 2025.
Apart from this, it was found in the slide show that by the end of 2021, 108 megapixels will be the standard resolution for smartphones.
How does this technology work?
If we talk about Pixel Binning Technology, which has been used in 200MP ISOCELL HP1 camera. This camera comes with three layouts. Which will be two by two, four by four and a full pixel layout. This camera will be ideal for photography in bright light condition as well as in low light condition. The ISOCELL HP1 can capture 8K video at 30 frames per second with minimal loss of view. The HP1 sensor can merge 4 adjacent pixels to create a resolution of 50 megapixels or 8192X6144 and 8k i.e. 7680X4320 resolution without cropping or reducing the resolution.
