JioPhone Next to be launched on September 10

Price of JioPhone Next
Reliance Jio has not yet disclosed the price of the budget device. However, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has said that this smartphone will be the world’s most affordable 4G smartphone. Currently, the cheapest 4G smartphone is Samsung Galaxy M01, which costs Rs 4,999. This means that the price of JioPhone Next will be less than Rs 5,000.

Reliance announced during its AGM that JioPhone Next will be made available for sale from September 10 on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Features of JioPhone Next
The JioPhone Next appears to sport a polycarbonate back as well as a pill-shaped camera module at the top centre. The camera module consists of a lens and an LED flash. Apart from this, there is also Jio branding with speaker grill in the back panel. The front panel has thick top and bottom bezels along with the selfie camera.
Other Features of JioPhone Next
Jio has announced that the device will come with 4G connectivity. Along with this, the company has announced that it will run a special version of Android. The smartphone will also include Google Assistant, text-to-speech capabilities, language translation, a smart camera with AR filters and more.
The camera app has been co-engineered by Google and Jio, and will come with features like Night Mode, HDR enhancements and Snapchat AR filters. As per the leak, the device will be powered by Unisoc SoC along with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. But the company has not disclosed it yet.
