Mutual consent required for marriage

Justice Vivek Chaudhary made this remark from the Lucknow bench of the High Court. Let me tell you, the court has given this order on the habeas corpus petition of Safia Sultan. The court said that now the notice will be optional and the marriage officer will start the further process only on the request of the married couple. The court said that the couple must first tell about their introduction, age, mutual consent for marriage.
