British PM Boris Johnson’s fiancée Carrie Symonds Gives Birth to Son

London: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s fiancée Carrie Symonds has given birth to a son. The baby was born on Wednesday in a government hospital in London. The child is believed to have been born prematurely, but both mother and child are healthy.

Johnson, who recovered from a Corona virus infection, was also present at the hospital during childbirth. One of his spokespersons said on Wednesday that the Prime Minister and Symonds are happy to inform about the birth of their child. This morning Symonds gave birth to a son in a hospital in London.

The spokesperson said that both mother and child are fine. The Prime Minister and Symonds have thanked the doctors-nurses of the NHS (National Health Service). A few days ago Johnson (55) became infected with the corona virus. After treatment at the hospital, he returned to the Prime Minister’s Office Downing Street on Monday.

Symonds made some tweets expressing her happiness when Johnson returned from the hospital. The couple announced the engagement in late February. At the same time, it was also revealed that both are going to be parents in this summer. After the birth of the child, greeting messages have started pouring from all sides on the social media.

Britain’s Health Minister Matt Hancock said I was thrilled for Boris and Carrie. This is a moment of great happiness.

India-born Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said that he was very happy to know that another member had come to live in Downing Street.

Johnson is the third Prime Minister of Britain to become a father while in office. Earlier in August 2010, the then Prime Minister David Cameron had become father. Tony Blair also became father in the early 2000s while serving as the Prime Minister.
