Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said last year that the company is preparing to integrate the three platforms Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger. Now in a new update, Facebook has started integrating Messenger and Instagram chats. The new merger of Instagram and Facebook Messenger Chats has been released for many users. It has been started in the US.

According to a report by The Verge, an update has been sent by Facebook to Instagram’s mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. A message has been written in it, ‘This is a new way of sending messages to Instagram.’ Many new features will also be found in it. HT has said in its report that a new update has been released for Indian users as well. However, we cannot confirm this.

If an update was sent to you by Facebook, then you will see a pop-up message as soon as you open Instagram. Once updated, new changes will start appearing in the app. In this new update, especially four things are new. First- Colorful Looks for Chats, Second- Emoji Reaction, Third- Swipe to Reply for Messages and Fourth- Chat with Facebook Friends. The biggest change in this is that now you can chat with Facebook friends directly from Instagram.

The report says that currently the feature with Chat with Facebook Friends has not been made available. However, the rest of the features are visible with the update. The DM icon has been replaced with the Messenger icon. Chats are now colorful on Instagram. It is also possible that this Instagram-Messenger integration is being tested by Facebook, as no official has been done about it yet.
