Indian Railways cancels all tickets booked till 30 June, refund will be made

The Indian Railways has also clarified that all currently running labor and special trains will continue to operate uninterruptedly.

The Ministry of Railways stated that Indian Railways has canceled all travel tickets booked for travel on or before 30 June 2020 in regular passenger trains. Indian Railways informed that the money for all these canceled travel tickets is also being refunded without any deduction.

All the currently running labor and special trains will continue to operate uninterruptedly. Railways has said that the passengers, whose tickets for regular trains have been canceled till June 30, will be refunded the full amount of the ticket.

A railway order said that the labor special train service started from May 1 and special trains started from May 12 will continue to operate. The tickets that will be canceled were booked during the lockdown period when the railways allowed booking for the journey in June.

The railways suspended regular mail, express, passenger and suburban services from 25 March due to the lockdown implemented to prevent the spread of corona virus. Earlier, all bookings for regular trains were halted until 17 May. The period of lockdown implemented in the country has been increased three times. The extended shutdown for the third time will continue till May 17.
