Lata Mangeshkar Pays Tribute to Poet Yogesh

Senior industry lyricist poet Yogesh Gaur died in Mumbai on Friday. He was 77. Poet Yogesh breathed his last at his home in Goregaon, Mumbai. He wrote songs like Zindagi Kaise Hai Paheli … and Kahin door jaab din din dhal jaye… in Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan’s superhit film ‘Anand’ released in 1971.

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar paid tribute to Yogesh Gaur. He tweeted,  “I just came to know that poet Yogesh Gaur, who wrote a touching song, died today. I feel very sad to hear this. I sang many songs written by Yogeshji. He was a very quiet and sweet person. I pay him a humble tribute.”

Yogesh was struggling with diabetes

In the industry, Yogesh Gaur was called Yogesh. He died due to age and diseases. Yogesh had been struggling with diabetes for a long time. A few years ago, he also had a kidney operation. He wrote memorable songs for films like Anand, Baat-Baat, Rajinigandha, Chhoti Baat. He wrote memorable songs like Rimjhim Gir Sawan and several times Yun Dekha Hai.

Actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi shared the tweet of Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan starrer film Anand somewhere far away when day dhal jale jaye. Nikhil wrote – You were your own kind of person. We were never able to give you what you were entitled to. Your every song will always be alive. You will remain my favourite.
