Recently, Mahindra launched its new Thar SUV in the market, and news is coming that Force Motors is going to launch its offering SUV Gurkha with BS6 engine. It is believed that the company can launch it in the festive season this year.
The BS6 Gurkha has also been seen during testing several times, and recently it has also been spotted at dealerships, so there were speculations that the company will soon launch in India. It is believed that this year may come in the festive season.
Talking about the engine, a 2.6-liter diesel engine can be found in BS6 Gurkha. This engine also powers the BS4 Gurkha. This turbo-diesel engine generates power of 90bhp and torque of 200 Nm. At the same time, it offers a 5-speed gearbox.
It is believed that a lot of changes will be seen in the new Gurkha this time. It is reported that major changes can also be made in the chassis of the new model. For safety, it will have standard features like anti-locking braking system with dual airbags and stability control.
Will compete with Mahindra Thar
The Gurkha BS6 will take on Mahindra’s new Thar. Mahindra has introduced the new Thar in two engine options in India. It will get BS6, 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine and 2.0-liter turbocharged mStallion petrol engine. Its diesel engine will give 130bhp and 320Nm torque while the petrol engine will give 187 bhp power and 380Nm torque. You can choose the engine option according to your need.
In safety, it has been given many powerful safety features such as EBD with ABS, dual front airbags, river parking sensor, speed alert system, hill hold assist, 4×4 and hill descent control. Mahindra has also changed the interior of the new Thar this time with an all black interior layout. It has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Talking about the features, it has features such as automatic climate control, engine start / stop button, usable space, Thar wording door panel, steering mounted control, AC, cruise control, keyless entry.
