Government banks will now deliver their services to your door. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has launched door step banking services for public sector banks. On this occasion, the Finance Minister said that the role of banks in reviving the economy is like a catalyst. Sitharaman said that the speed at which India has adopted Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile, is a matter for countries around the world.

Take advantage of banking facilities from home

The move is part of the EASE (enhanced access and service excellence) reform which was initiated by the Finance Services Department in 2018. Debashish Panda, Secretary of Financial Services, said that ‘after the commencement of this service, anyone can now take advantage of banking facilities sitting from their home.’

Inaugurating Door Step Banking Services, the Finance Minister said that banks should focus on their core business, banks should also reach areas where banking has not been reached yet. He said that every staff of the bank should have complete knowledge of all the schemes of the government, which are being offered to the people on behalf of the bank. The foundation of this doorstep banking was laid by the Reserve Bank of India a few years ago. Public sector banks put together a common service provider to reach their customers.

Everyone will get door-step banking

It was decided earlier that doorstep banking facility will be given only to senior citizens and disabled people, who find it difficult to come to the bank. In view of the Corona epidemic, the Reserve Bank had also ordered that all people and people with disabilities should be provided doorstep banking service over 70 years.
