For the SIM card customer verification, the paper will have to be delivered on the online portal, the SIM card will be delivered as soon as the documents are received. According to the new rules, verification of the customers will be done with the help of APP and OTP.

At this time, to get a new SIM, the customer has to go to the company retail outlet and give his ID and address proof. Companies take a picture of the customer at the retail outlet at the same time and put it in the customer acquisition form. After this, after filling the information in the form and giving the OTP, the SIM customer gets the SIM.

The difficulties of telecom companies have also increased due to Corona crisis. Physical outlets are closed due to lockdown. They are not able to work at full capacity. Recharging at the store is decreasing and this is affecting the company’s revenue. Recently, the losses of both Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel have increased due to this. Vodafone Idea has said that if the corona crisis continues, the income of the telecom companies will fall further. Telecom companies are under pressure from TRAI to repay the outstanding AGR. In such a situation, more difficulties will arise if the crisis increases. Vodafone Idea had said recently that if TRAI is adamant on its stand on AGR dues, it may have to wind up its business.
