Decision during hearing on PIL
Instructions to the three states to form a uniform policy
Due to Corona crisis, the boundaries of Delhi-NCR are sealed and people are facing difficulty in movement. In view of the problems of the people, a public interest litigation was filed in the Supreme Court. Hearing this, the court has directed to make a common pass for the NCR region on Wednesday.
Hearing the public interest litigation filed by the people of NCR, the Supreme Court said that a common portal should be made for movement in the NCR region. For this, all stake holders should meet and issue a common pass for the NCR region, so that the movement of the entire NCR can be done from a single pass.
The Supreme Court said that there should be a coherent policy for traffic in the NCR region of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The court said that all states should prepare a uniform policy for this. This policy should be ready within a week. For this, the meeting of the three states should be held.
During the hearing, Haryana said that we have removed all the restrictions. On this, the Supreme Court said that in the current situation a policy, a way and a portal should be made. On behalf of the Center, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that he will take instructions from the Central Government for this so that there is a uniform policy and people do not have problems.
