On Monday, Justice Arun Mishra’s bench dismissed the petition seeking adjournment of the medical entrance examination NEET and engineering entrance examination JEE Main. Let us tell you that the petition demanded to postpone the proposed IIT-JEE and NEET examinations in September due to increasing cases of corona virus infection. The Union Education Ministry had recently told that the JEE exam will be held from September 1 to September 6, while the NEET exam will be held on September 13.

11 students from 11 states had filed a petition in the Supreme Court with the request to postpone the JEE Main and NEET UG examinations in view of the fast growing number of Kovid-19 epidemic cases in the country. The petition had requested the cancellation of the July 3 notice of the National Examination Agency (NTA), referring to the corona virus epidemic.
