Hyderabad-based electric vehicle company Atumobile has launched a very affordable electric bike. The base price of this bike named Atum 1.0 has been fixed at Rs 50,000. The Atum 1.0 International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) is an approved low-speed electric bike. This bike is so economical that it can run 100 kilometers for just seven to eight rupees.
No license will be required
You will not need a driving license and registration to run Atum 1.0. It has been specially designed for Indian customers. Atum 1.0 electric bike has a portable lithium-ion battery, which is fully charged in less than four hours. It has been claimed that this bike gives a range of 100 km after a single charge.
2 year battery warranty
The Atumobile bike has a two-year battery warranty. There are many color options in it. A six kilogram lightweight portable battery pack has also been given in the Atum 1.0 electric bike. It can be charged anywhere using a normal three-pin socket.
100 KM to run for 7 rupees
According to the company, this bike takes one unit of electricity after a single charge. Meaning the bike gives a range of 100 km for 7-10 rupees. According to the company, the cost of 100 km in a traditional ICE bike is about 80-100 rupees per day. The electric bike gets 20X4 fat-bike tires. The bike is equipped with low seat height, LED headlight, indicators, taillight and full digital display.
Royal Enfield also bringing electric bike
Royal Enfield is also preparing to launch electric bikes. Company CEO Vinod K. Dasari has said that the company is going to knock in the electric vehicle segment. The company is working on electric bikes. No disclosure has been made on behalf of the company about its design or price.
