For Aaj Tak, Karvy Insights Limited conducted a survey in which 12 thousand 21 people were talked to. Of these, 67 percent were rural while the remaining 33 percent were urban. A total of 97 Lok Sabha and 194 assembly seats from 19 states were included in the survey. These people were asked the question that if theaters are opened, will they go to theaters to watch movies? 39 per cent of the citizens said that they would go to theaters to see the film when the theaters opened, while 53 per cent of the people who refused to go to the movies even after opening theaters. At the same time 8 percent people said that they cannot say anything about this. There are more than 60 percent who are either not sure or they do not want to go to theaters to watch movies.

If we look at this figure on the basis of age, then 50 percent of the people between the age of 18 and 24 were those who gave yes. That is, he would like to go to the theater to watch movies. While 44 percent did not respond. At the same time, 47 percent of the people aged between 25 and 30 years were yes and 46 percent did not respond. If you look at the figures of 31 to 40 years of age, then 42 percent answer was yes and 50 percent did not respond. And among those aged 41 to 50 years, 31 percent of the answer was yes and 60 percent had no answer. When the same question was asked to those aged 51 years or above, the answer of 20 percent was yes and 73 percent was not answered.

That is, if you try to understand the matter in one line, as the age figure increases, the number of people who do not watch the film in the Corona period has also increased as the theater opens. The younger the citizens are, the more willing they are to go to the film despite the danger of corona when the theater opens. If these figures are seen on the basis of region, then in the north Indians, the highest 46 percent of the people answered yes and the people of the eastern region gave the highest 65 percent of them.

The 19 states in which the survey was conducted include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The survey included 52 percent men, 48 percent women. If seen from the perspective of religion, then 86 percent of Hindus, 9 percent of Muslims and 5 percent of people of other religions got their opinion. Those surveyed included 30 percent upper castes, 25 percent SC-ST and 44 percent other backward classes. 57 percent of the people involved in the survey were people with an income of less than Rs 10 thousand a month, while 28 percent were people earning more than Rs 10 to 20 thousand and 15 percent earning more than Rs 20 thousand a month. Farmers, jobbers, unemployed, businessmen, students, etc. were included in the survey sample.
