Corona virus: Most Number of Infections in Mecca in Saudi Arabia

In Corona virus infection in Saudi Arabia, a total of 46,869 cases have been reported so far. 77 percent of these infected people are in Mecca, Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina and Dammam. The highest number of cases are also in these four cities in Mecca.

Mecca: total infected 9,900

Riyadh: Total infected 8,430

Jeddah: Total infected 8,034

Medina: Total infected 6,768

2,039 new cases of infection with the corona virus were reported in Saudi Arabia. This is the largest number till date. According to al-Arabiya, infection in children has increased by 125 percent and in women by 100 percent. Saudi Arabia recently banned being with more than five people. Due to the crisis caused by the Corona virus, the price of crude oil has come down drastically. It has made a very bad impact on the economy of countries dependent on oil. Saudi Arabia, once famous for being a tax free country, has increased its Value Added Tax (VAT) from five percent to 15 percent. The allowance given to employees every month has also been cancelled. Globally, the price of oil has reduced by half in comparison to a year ago. This has reduced Saudi Arabia’s revenue by 22%. After this, Saudi Arabia has currently banned all its important projects.
