What is the reason behind Aryan Khan not getting bail?

“The arrest of Shahrukh’s son and the arrest of a huge quantity of heroin at Mundra port again made headlines in the drugs case”

The incident is from 1997. Shahrukh Khan, the ‘Badshah’ of Bollywood, along with wife Gauri Khan had arrived on the talk show Randivu with Simi Grewal (laughing with Simi Grewal). A few months back, son Aryan was born. When Simi Grewal quipped something, Shah Rukh jokingly said, “Yes, I want my son to do all the wrong things which I could not do when I was young. Run after girls, take drugs etc.” Ironically, more than two decades later, that laughable, light-hearted joke has turned into a sore throat for Shah Rukh and his 23-year-old son Aryan. Although the colors of politics have also emerged in this and before that there is also a case of 3,000 kg of heroin found in two containers from Iran at the Mundra port in Gujarat, after which the Mundra port has now said that from now onwards it will take containers from Iran, Afghanistan. won’t let you down. So, allegations and counter allegations are going on in the matter between the BJP and the NCP which is in the coalition government of Maharashtra.

But first see what is the matter of Mumbai. On October 2, a cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa was raided by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and arrested Arbaaz Merchant, the businessman’s son Arbaaz Merchant, Delhi-based model Munmun Dhamecha and Aryan Khan along with several people from the rave party. Till October 9, 17 people had been arrested in this case. According to the NCB, narcotics like cocaine, mephedrone, charas and hydroponic weed and Rs 1.33 lakh were seized on the spot.

Aryan and several of his accomplices are in judicial custody for 14 days. Advocate Satish Manshinde, who fought the blackbuck case of actress Rhea Chakraborty and actor Salman Khan in the alleged drugs connection case, is fighting Aryan’s case. On October 8, a hearing regarding bail was held in a court in Mumbai, but Aryan was disappointed. Advocate Manshinde argued that Aryan did not have drugs. In the hearing on October 13, the NCB said, “Preliminary investigation has revealed that Aryan is part of a large drug chain, even though the drugs were not found with him at the time of the raid.” Bail to a person may affect the investigation. Aryan’s second lawyer Amit Desai said that Aryan was not even on the cruise at the time of NCB raid. He and Arbaaz Merchant were caught while going to the party. Drugs were not found with Aryan, while Arbaaz had six grams of charas. To this the NCB said that Aryan has known Arbaaz for years and has been buying drugs from him and his dealers.

NCP’s Nawab Malik alleges that the entire action is inspired by BJP, NCB’s witness is BJP worker

Now look at the case of heroin consignment in the country’s largest port, Mundra. It is operated by Adani Group. There were also two containers from Iran buried among thousands of neatly decorated containers. According to officials of the Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), which monitored the shipments, they came from Bandar Abbas in Iran and were to be sent to Kutch in Gujarat. But the name of the sender aroused the interest of the authorities. This was the firm Hassan Hussain Limited based in Kandahar, South Afghanistan. When officials opened the containers on September 15, hundreds of white colored synthetic bags were found. Underneath the talc powder was three tons of Afghan heroin. This was the largest consignment of drugs seized in the country. According to a government official, this is enough to get 12 crore people of Mumbai intoxicated.

Political accusations also emerged from both the cases. Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government and NCP leader, called it a BJP-inspired action. They allege that during the raids in Mumbai, persons like Manish Bhanushali and Kiran Gosavi present there were giving inside information to the investigating agency. He has been made a witness in this case. Both of them are BJP workers. In two press conferences, Malik showed pictures of his ties with the BJP and also showed how he is bringing people out.

But, NCB Mumbai Deputy DG Dnyaneshwar Singh clarified, “The raid conducted on October 2 was as per the rules and only after investigation all the accused were arrested. Both the independent witnesses Manish Bhanushali and Kiran Gosavi were not known before the NCB operation.” Gosavi is already facing several cases. On this NCB says that it was not aware of this.

NCB Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede tells Outlook, “The matter is in court. So it is not right to say anything. I would not like to speak on the statement of any political party. A total of 9 witnesses have been made in this case, why only two are discussed.

According to the NCB, in September itself, he had arrested gangster Chinku Pathan, close to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Drugs worth Rs 10 lakh were seized from his possession. Wankhede says, “Twelve big suppliers-paddlers have been busted in a year. There have been over 300 arrests in 13 months. Drugs worth crores have been recovered.

On Malik’s allegations, Maharashtra BJP general secretary Chandrashekhar Bawankule says, “The court has to decide. It is the agency’s job to investigate. The state government is trying to save. Earlier also cases used to come, but now serious action is being taken.

In fact, the list of drug connections in the industry is getting longer since last year’s Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case. According to sources, there is a drug racket of about Rs 10 lakh crore in the country. Well-known filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri says, “It is time Bollywood celebrities stop drug abuse and glamorize themselves.” He adds, “Not that it is limited to this industry only . Its users are spread all over the country in all sections. Then why is Bollywood to be blamed?” However, Julio Ribeiro, a well-known former Mumbai police chief, believes that the job of the NCB is not to catch drug users. He told Outlook last year after the Sushant case, “In my opinion, instead of arresting people, they need to be given counseling so that they can quit drug use.”

After Aryan’s arrest, statements of people related to the industry also came in favor of Shahrukh and against him. Celebrities like Karan Johar, Farhan Khan, Salman Khan, Neelam Kothari, Seema Khan reached ‘Mannat’ at Shahrukh’s Bandra home.

However, the second fact is that even actress Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan have been questioned by NCB in drug cases but there is no information about the status of these cases as of now. Wankhede says, “The investigation is on. The matter is in the court.” But the political color emerging in the present case is worrying. Prior to this, the country has seen political squabbles in the cases of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and Riya Chakraborty. The political game of suppressing some allegations and tossing some for political purposes must stop.
