Following the demand of some states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, the Ministry of Home Affairs has prepared a new guideline for the movement of stranded migrant laborers, pilgrims, tourists and students at different places. Under the new guideline, stranded people can be sent from one state to another.

According to the new guideline, all states and union territories will have to deploy an SOP to appoint their nodal officers and send and take back such stranded persons. Under the new guideline, the states will have to talk among themselves for those wanting to go from one state to another.

Meanwhile, people being sent from one state to another will be investigated. People will be sent forward only after investigation. Upon arriving at their destination, such people will be quarantined through local health authorities. Also, all these people will be encouraged to use the Arogya Setu app.
