Actor Ghanshyan Nayak has been a member of the team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah from the beginning. For more than 10 years, he has been entertaining the audience with this show.
Nattu Kaka i.e. actor Ghanshyam Nayak of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has passed away. He was suffering from cancer for several months. He had also had two operations a few months back. He is 77 years old. Due to age, he could not go to the shooting daily but he was still a part of Taarak Mehta’s team.
He breathed his last in the hospital where his treatment was going on in Malad. Due to age, he could not go to the shooting daily but he was still a part of Taarak Mehta’s team. Today at 5:30 pm, this veteran actor of the TV industry has passed away. When the cast of Taarak Mehta came to know about his death, everyone became very sad.
Tanmay Vakheria, who plays Baga said, “I first got the news because his son called me at 5:45 pm. After all, life had to give up in front of cancer and this evening at 5:30 he took farewell from this world. Let us tell you, Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka was very close to Dilip Joshi, who played Jethalal.
Eager to return
Even after the chemotherapy treatment, Ghanshyam Nayak was confident that he would make a full recovery and return to shooting. During this, he also shot some episodes. When he spoke about his health 3 months back, he was excited to be back on the sets of Taarak, he said, “I am fine and healthy. Not such a big problem. In fact, viewers will get to see me tomorrow in an episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It’s a very special episode and I hope they like my work again.”
Wanted to work till death
Ghanshyam Nayak said that he is an artist and wants to work till his last breath. He wished that even death should come to him during his performance. However, his dream could not be fulfilled. But his contribution to Gujarati and Hindi entertainment and theater industry will always be remembered by the audience. Because the artist dies, but his art always keeps the lamp of his existence behind him.
