The emerald of Madhya Pradesh is known worldwide for diamonds. This time the price of nine laborers of this city took a turn and they have got 10.69 carat diamond.

Although the price of this diamond has not been officially known, but the experts of diamonds say that the cost of diamonds is up to five lakh rupees per carat, so its estimated price can be around 50 lakhs.

This diamond has been deposited in the diamond department of Panna.

Now these people are waiting for it to be auctioned so that they can get its right price. Anandilal Kushwaha and his eight friends have found a diamond, including Rajesh Yadav, who owned this land.

Diamond Officer R.K. Pandey told, “This diamond has been found by Anandilal in Ranipur. It is 10.67 carat diamond. Its quality is very good. Before that, they have got 70 cents diamond. The quality of both diamonds is good.”

Although R.K. Pandey did not say how much his estimated price could be.

He said, “It is difficult to tell how much it can cost. It is decided later during the auction. But the diamond is very good.”

The diamond department says that it is the largest diamond found after lockdown.

Anandi Kushwaha and his parents had built a lease for diamond mining from the diamond office on a private land in Ranipur village in Panna district.

Anandilal told how he took a lease for the land and how the fate of those people opened up.

Anandilal does meter reading

Anandilal himself works in meter reading in Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board.

At the same time, his other colleagues also do small work. Many work as laborers in the fields, and sometimes they do the work of selling vegetables. Along with this, these people also keep doing other minor tasks for Gujar Basar.

42-year-old Anandilal works for 2 to 3 hours a day reading meters, in which he gets around 2500 thousand rupees. He has two children in his family as well as parents and mother-in-law.

Anandilal told, “This is the private land of Rajesh Yadav. He is a shareholder of it. The land will be about 25 feet long and 25 feet wide. For this, in the end of June, the application was received which we got in July.”

According to Anandilal, he and his companions used to dig on the ground according to their convenience. This excavation work was done with the Gati shovel. These people used to collect kankars from below the ground and then after washing it, diamonds are searched in them.

Anandilal told, “After the meter reading work, I also reached the ground and started digging.”

Anandilal had earlier discovered the diamond by taking a lease from the government department, but he was not successful.

This time Kismat supported him and the diamond came out.

Search for diamonds on private land

Anandilal told that emerald is famous for diamonds, so in this way private land can be taken on lease and excavated in it.

He says, “Government land leasing has almost ceased. The reason for this is forest land or some other problem. Therefore, private land has to be taken now.”

They say that if we used to dig others by digging in it, then it would have cost about 2 lakh rupees. Usually, the landowner has a 25 percent share in the diamonds found in the excavation.

But the land owners became a shareholder on this land, so they will get the money that comes in the share.

Rajesh Yadav did not dig but the other eight participants used to dig in an equal way.

Anandilal says that emerald is known for diamonds, so people take the land here in this way and dig in search of diamonds. However, the price depends on whether the diamond will be found or not.

These people will find out the exact price of diamond in the auction. The auction takes place every three to six months, but this time the auction has been delayed due to lockdown.

Anandilal says, “We don’t know which of our partners we have got this diamond. But yes, we are all happy that we have got the result of our hard work.”

Earlier, in 2018, the fate of Motilal Prajapati of Panna took a turn when he had a diamond worth about 1.50 crores. Motilal also took the lease of the land along with four other sarishis.
