900 bed Kovid Hospital built in Ahmedabad, DRDO built in 8 days

With the help of Army, Paramilitary Force and State Governments, DRDO is starting a total of six Kovid Hospitals across the country. Out of these, services have started in Delhi and Patna.

The DRDO has built a 900-bed hospital in Ahmedabad in just eight days with the help of the Gujarat government. From Saturday, admission of coronated patients will start in this hospital. This is the third Kovid Hospital of DRDO in the country. Earlier, DRDO’s Kovid Hospitals have also started in the capital Delhi and Patna.

According to the information, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has established ‘Dhanvantari Kovid Hospital’ at the Convention Center of Gujarat University in Ahmedabad. Out of a total of 900 beds, 150 beds have ventilator facilities. The rest of the 750 beds also have oxygen. Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani will visit this Kovid Hospital on Friday evening to take stock of the system.

Army is helping in the Corona crisis

Let us tell you that with the help of Army, Paramilitary Force and State Governments, DRDO is starting a total of six Kovid Hospitals across the country. Out of these, services have started in Delhi (450 beds) and Patna (500 beds). In Lucknow (450 beds) and Varanasi (750 beds), work is going on in full swing.

Meanwhile, there is news that the Indian Air Force has airlifted the entire Kovid set-up to Leh to set up a Kovid Center in Ladakh on Friday. Apart from this, two C-17 Globemaster aircraft of the Air Force have transported two empty Lindsay cryogenic oxygen controllers to Panagarh in West Bengal. An IL-76 aircraft has also transported the empty Inox container to Panagarh.
