The mosque has been claimed to be a martyr ganja place and efforts are being made to convert it into a mosque. ”
He said that India has lodged its strong opposition to the incident and asked Pakistan to investigate the matter and take corrective steps immediately. Srivastava said in response to a question about this, “Pakistan has also been asked to protect the security, interests of the people of minority communities as well as their religious rights and cultural heritage.”
He said that the Gurdwara Shaheedi Sthal Bhai Taru ji is a historic gurudwara where Bhai Taru ji made the supreme sacrifice in 1745. He said, “The gurudwara is a place of reverence and is considered sacred by the Sikh community. This incident has been viewed with grave concern in India. Justice is being sought for the minority Sikh community in Pakistan. “
The Maulvi Sohail Butt occupying the gurudwara is associated with Daawat-e-Islami (Barelvi). He is also the caretaker of the Muslim prophet Hazrat Shah Kaku Chishti Dargah in Lahore.
