The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made a big announcement giving relief to its account holders. EPFO has extended the period for linking UAN with Aadhaar till 31 December 2021. EPFO has given this information by tweeting for North-East institutions and certain categories of establishments. Universal Account Number (UAN) was required to be linked with Aadhaar by September 1, 2021.

Linking Aadhaar with Universal Account Number (UAN) is very important. According to the new rules, without linking UAN with Aadhaar, your employer company will not be able to deposit monthly PF contribution in your EPF account. At the same time, without this, taking or withdrawing loan from EPF fund will not be possible.

As per the new rules Aadhaar linking is required for any withdrawal, receipt of contribution in Aadhaar linked UAN helps the member to claim the withdrawal benefits online and file e-registration without the interface of the employer company At the same time, it avoids the delay in withdrawal due to non-seeding of Aadhaar in UAN.

* Log on to EPFO ​​Portal epfindia.gov.in

* Then click on ‘Online Services’ option,

 * After this link ‘e-KYC portal’ and ‘UAN Aadhaar’.

* Enter UAN number and registered mobile number

* Enter OTP and your 12 digit Aadhaar number.

* Verify Aadhaar details

* For this, generate OTP on your registered mobile number of the mail linked with your Aadhaar number.

* After this your linking will be completed as soon as the process is completed

If you do not want to do the process online, then you can also do this work offline. For this, by going to the EPFO ​​office, ‘Aadhaar Seeding Application. Fill the form, enter your UAN and Aadhaar number in the form along with all the details. Attach self attested copies of your UAN, PAN and Aadhaar along with the form. Submit it to the assigned employee working in the office. Thereafter, your Aadhaar will be linked with your EPF account. At the same time, its message will come on your registered mobile number.
