Now every document of yours will already be present with the traffic authorities.

The central government has amended the Motor Vehicle Act 1989. The government said on Saturday that vehicle documents including driving license and e-challan will be maintained from October 1, 2020 through an information technology portal. A statement said that during the inspection of vehicle documents, physical documents will not be demanded in lieu of documents of vehicles found valid through electronic means.

Your license update information

Experts say that all the information related to your driving license will be available with the traffic authorities. Along with this, the government said that the details of driving license disqualified or revoked by the licensing authority will be recorded in the portal and it will be updated from time to time.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement that it has issued notification regarding various amendments made in the Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, including vehicle-related documents through the portal from October 1, 2020, for better monitoring and implementation of the Motor Vehicles Rules. And e-challan can be maintained.
