Coronavirus in Delhi: After more than two months in Delhi on Monday, the number of patients admitted for Covid treatment in hospitals came down to 200. Gone. According to Delhi government data, a total of 65,762 Covid-19 patients were admitted in Delhi hospitals between April 1 and May 31. That is, in these 61 days, an average of 1,078 patients were admitted every day or about 45 patients every hour. During the same period 51,004 patients were discharged from hospitals.

Number of patients admitted between mid-April to mid-May

The number of patients admitted to hospitals was at its peak between mid-April and mid-May. In the last seven days of April, an average of 1,676 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospitals in Delhi every day. In the last seven days of May, this figure has come down to 276, with the lowest number of patients admitted in two months on Monday.

On 1 April 294 new patients were admitted and on 6 April the figure crossed 500. On this day 541 patients were admitted, while 269 patients were discharged. In a week i.e. on April 13, the number of new patients admitted doubled to 1,218, while only 506 patients were discharged from hospitals on that day. has more than doubled. This difference was highest on 5 April, when 1,812 patients were admitted, but the number of discharged patients was 555.

On May 13, the trend started changing from May

 After the peak of 1,993 new patients admitted on April 29, the number gradually started to reverse, with 1,366 Covid-19 patients being admitted and 1,384 discharged on May 13. Since then the gap started widening and on May 21, 1,043 patients were discharged in the capital, while a total of 638 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospitals.

Beds’ Occupancy in hospitals reduced

On Tuesday, out of 24,752 beds in hospitals, only 4,405 beds were occupied due to a steady decline in the number of patients admitted. As of 10 pm on Tuesday, 4,271 beds out of 6,829 ICU beds were vacant, including 1,128 ICU ventilator beds out of a total of 2,551.
