India is developing Biotech Covaxin (BBV152) in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Covaxin is capable of producing immunity against Covid-19 and no side effects have been found during the first two studies. This has been claimed in the research paper published by the Hyderabad-based company. However, it has not been reviewed yet.

The trial report said that after applying the vaccine, it develops antibodies in the human body for 6-12 months. One thing that makes these facts more interesting is that the covicine is the first Covid-19 vaccine, which has been tested on children up to 12 years. This test was done in September. Bharat Biotech is examining the vaccine potential during Phase 3 study at 25 centers on about 26000 candidates.
How does it work?
Humoral immune responses are caused by antibodies, while cell-mediated responses are caused by T-cells, which are key components of the adaptive immune system whose function is to kill infected cells, activate other immune cells, produce cytokines, and immunity Regulating the reaction is involved.
