US-based Moderna has manufactured its vaccine on mRNA technology, which has an impact of 94.1 percent. Its two doses are given at an interval of 28 days. Moderna vaccines can be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius for 30 days. It can be protected for six months at a temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius. According to a report, the cost of a single dose of vaccine can be from $ 15 to $ 33 (Rs. 1125 – Rs. 2475).
Pfizer-BioNotech’s Covid-19 vaccine is similar to the Moderna vaccine. It is based on segments of the genetic material of the novel corona virus. Two doses of this vaccine are given at intervals of three weeks and its effect is up to 94 percent. Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, is now going to do a human trial of the Novavax vaccine. Novavax vaccine has been found to be 89.3 percent safe during human trials in Britain. After which application has been given to the local authorities to conduct human tests at the domestic level.
