CPM leader Sitaram Yechury’s son dies from Corona, breathed his last at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram
Ashish, son of CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, died in a hospital in Gurugram from Kovid-19. Ashish was around 35 years old.
CPM leader Sitaram Yechury has tweeted that his elder son Ashish Yechury died this morning due to Corona virus. Ashish was infected with Corona virus, undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gurugram. He breathed his last this morning. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed deep condolences by tweeting.
Ashish Yechury was around 35 years old. He was undergoing treatment for Corona for about two weeks. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram due to serious situation. But they could not be saved. Apart from Ashish, Sitaram Yechury has a wife and daughter in his family.
Sitaram Yechury wrote in his tweet, “I have to say with great grief that I lost my elder son Ashish Yechury this morning from Kovid-19. I am thankful to those who gave us courage and healed them and stood by us in times of crisis. “
Former Delhi Health Minister AK Walia dies of Corona
Earlier this morning, news came that senior Congress leader AK Walia was no longer with us. Senior Congress leader AK Walia, who was a minister in the Sheila Dixit government, died this morning. AK Walia was also infected with Corona. He was undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital. Walia has been the Health Minister in the Sheila Dixit government of Delhi.
The situation has worsened due to corona infection in the country. The total number of infected in the country has crossed 1.5 million. The number of dead has reached close to two lakhs. Due to the increase in cases on the 43rd day in the country, the number of under-served patients exceeded 22 lakhs.
