Merchants’ organization CAT on Sunday urged the Delhi government to impose a ‘lockdown’ of at least 15 days to curb the growing cases of Corona. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) said that this is necessary in the interest of the people and traders of Delhi.

Kat said that it is right, business and economic activities will be affected by the lockdown in Delhi, but the life of the people is the first priority. The traders association said in a statement, ‘Lockdown should be imposed for 15 days in Delhi with immediate effect. Strict measures should be taken to check the corona at airports, railway stations, bus bases and all border areas in Delhi to ensure that the corona virus affected person does not enter the national capital.

“Businesses, employment affected by mall closure”

To prevent the corona infection, many state governments have imposed a lockdown at the local level. In such a situation, the Shopping Centers Association of India (SCAI) has said that the business of the industry has fallen by almost 50 per cent by putting a lockdown at the local level to prevent the spread of the second wave of Corona virus epidemic.

The association said in a statement, “In some states, local curbs, mall closures and weekend curfews will affect employment in businesses, revival and organized retail. But now the business of the industry has come down by 50 per cent after the local curbs. “

According to SCAI, the business of malls across the country had reached 90 per cent and the movement of people had reached 75 per cent. But after the restrictions at the local level, it has now come down drastically. SCAI said that to help the government’s vaccination efforts, we have also requested the state governments to set up vaccination camps in malls.
