Fee fixed for corona test in Jammu, private lab will be tested for Rs 2400

Relief is reported for patients amid increasing cases of corona infection in the state. The administration has fixed a fee of Rs 2400 per test to the private lab.

Like the whole country, the state government has fixed the fees for corona examination in private labs in the case of the ever increasing corona infection in Jammu. For corona test, the government lab charges Rs 2220, while in Jammu and Kashmir, private lab will have to pay Rs 2400.

On the instructions of the Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chandra Murmu, the State Health Department has issued an order and fixed Rs 2,400 for corona test in private lab in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, the patients had to pay about 4500 rupees for a test.

The order was issued when the complaint of this robbery of private labs reached the LG of the state. In addition to GST and other taxes, this fee also includes the cost of depositing the sample and packing.

Officials said that an order has been issued on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor stating that under Section 2 of the Epidemic Act 1897, a directive is given that any private lab in Jammu and Kashmir be paid Rs 2400 for the RT-PCR test of Kovid-19. Can not take much money.
