This tender has been received by Adani Green Energy. The company aims to become a world leader in this segment with a capacity of 25 GW by 2025. The tender has 8 GW of solar power and 2 GW of solar cells and module manufacturing capacity. This will create opportunities for 4 lakh jobs.

Adani said that his group is talking about equity and strategic partnership in solar equipment manufacturing. Technology is changing rapidly in solar equipment manufacturing. He said that only his group in India has a track record of working in 50:50 percent partnership with companies like Total and Wilmer.

Country moving fast towards self-sufficiency: Adani

Adani said that the country is rapidly moving towards self-sufficiency. He said that till now 90% of the sugar equipment is imported which will further reduce to 50% and it will be completely finished in the next 3 to 5 years. Adani is confident that with this investment, he will become the world’s largest solar company. Adani Green Energy Company wants to become the leader in the world by producing 25 gigawatts by 2025. He said that by then thermal generation of 18-20 GW would be done and solar production would be even more.
