Lakhimpur Kheri is about 150 km away from Lucknow, the capital of UP. This district falling in the Terai region is generally quiet. But it was clarified from Ashish Mishra that he was organizing a riot not in Tikunia but in the memory of his Baba. The atmosphere of Lakhimpur Kheri was heated after Ashish Mishra’s statements that he himself was clean. Under the leadership of Rakesh Tikait, a settlement was reached between the farmers and the government on 45 lakh to the victims’ kin, a government job and the arrest of the accused. But on October 5, a video came after which the atmosphere got heated.
On October 5, Rahul Gandhi left Delhi for Lakhimpur Kheri and met the families of the victims along with Priyanka Gandhi and targeted Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath government.
