A top Indian government official said on Wednesday that if China crossed the Laxman line in East Ladakh, India would take “necessary action” in its response.

The officer has also said that India has increased the deployment of the army at forward positions near the Line of Actual Control to deal with the construction work of the Chinese army and to prevent them from trying to go to high altitude.

The newspaper writes that before an important meeting of Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is going to be held in Moscow on Thursday, Chinese troops have been fired on Monday near Makhpuri Top of Chushul sector of East Ladakh. This is the first time in 45 years when the LAC has been fired.

Earlier on August 29 and 30, a march of Chinese troops and army tanks was taken out near Pengong So in Chushul area. It is believed that this power show was organized to intimidate the Indian Army.

Quoting the top officer, the newspaper writes that what is happening on the border should not be seen as a mere reaction.

He says “The instructions for the current tension are coming from the top Chinese political-military officers and not from the local commanders. In such a situation, this tension can take any turn. But China wants to start a war So he has to pay a big price for it. “

The top officer has also said that the Chinese army can try to take over the high altitude areas elsewhere on the border and Indian commanders have been given ‘complete freedom’ to deal with it so that they can take decisions according to the situation.
