India ready to work with UN to ensure supply of Covid-19 vaccines in Syria

The country is facing difficult conditions due to Covid-19, winter weather and food insecurity, due to which the future of one crore 70 lakh Syrians, including 62 lakh displaced, is in danger. India has given $ 1.2 million humanitarian aid through bilateral and multilateral means and in July last year, more than 10 metric tons of medical supplies were made to help Syria deal with the global epidemic. Earlier this month, 2000 metric tons of food were supplied.
Naidu said, “We look forward to working closely with the United Nations and its agencies to ensure supply of Covid-19 vaccines to the Syrian people.” Providing a significant supply of Covid-19 vaccines to the world Due to this, India is being widely praised.
Naidu said that the latest report of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry and the cases of human rights violations by the parties involved in the conflict show that this conflict has been internationalized due to the involvement of influential countries. “We appeal to all sides of the struggle to show political will to overcome the current deadlock on the political path,” he said. He said that terrorism has increased in Syria and the region due to the involvement of external elements.
