Regarding the ongoing tension in India and China, Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong has released his statement. In this statement, the Chinese Ambassador said that neither India nor China liked what happened in the Galvan Valley on 15 June.

Sun Weidong has said, “On June 5, there were talks between China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval over the border dispute and the two countries reached a positive agreement to reduce the tension. Currently our soldiers are retreating in accordance with the conversation with the military corps commander. Doubts were raised in some circles in India on the agreement reached in the two countries about what happened in the Galvan Valley. This led to a misconception about the relationship between the two countries. These things are not good for bilateral relations between the two countries. I thought about this that the situation should be clear on some important points.

The history of China-India friendship is more than 2000 years old

The Chinese ambassador said, “China and India should become partners and not rivals.” The history of friendship between China and India is more than 2000 years old. Most of the time there have been friendly relations between the two countries. Priority of both countries is development and we also have common strategic interests. Since the 1990s, both countries reached an important agreement that both are not a threat to each other. During the Informal Summit in Wuhan in 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping once again emphasized that both countries will provide each other with development opportunities and not become a threat to each other. ”

“It is the foundation of bilateral relations between India and China.” In recent times, I have noticed that some such opinion is being formed in which the importance of China-India relations is being dismissed due to border dispute. In this argument, a wrong assumption is being made about the intention of China. The confrontation is being exaggerated and attempts are being made to provoke tension. For thousands of years, a close neighbor is being shown as an enemy and a threat. it is not true. Actually, we do not have to benefit from these things, but only harm.

‘China wants India to progress’

The Chinese Ambassador said that China and India jointly advocated five principles regarding peaceful co-existence and independent foreign policy.

He said, “In the changing global situation we should see each other as a positive factor. We should become partners of each other and move forward with dreams of development. China wants India to progress. We can do this only through positive attitude towards each other. ”

The Chinese ambassador said, “By mutual cooperation, both have their advantages, while there is no benefit from confrontation.” It is but natural that there should be some differences between the two big neighbors. But we will solve it through dialogue and dialogue. We should always think about bilateral relations in its entirety and raise the differences on the appropriate stage but it should not be allowed to affect bilateral relations. The border dispute between China and India is not new. It is very sensitive and complex. We need a solution that is logical and mutually acceptable. We can achieve this through peaceful dialogue.

The Chinese ambassador has said, “We have made several mechanisms to discuss the border dispute.” Both sides have always agreed that peace on the border is important. The two countries should follow mutual consent so that the situation on the border remains peaceful. China has always advocated peace. China is not a war-torn country. Whatever happened right or wrong in Galvan valley is clear. China is steadfast in its sovereignty and territorial integrity and wants peace in the border areas. I believe that China and India are capable of resolving their differences and will not move on the path of confrontation. We should move on the path of development as a partner and not as an opponent. ” Sun Weidong said, “India and China are both big developing countries and both have an emerging economy.” We are good for others, we are partners. India has been a big business partner for China. China has invested eight billion dollars in India. Due to the economic and business partnership of China-India, a large number of jobs have also been created in India. Some people want to spoil the business relations of China-India. They want to exclude Made in China. People of India benefit from China-India economic cooperation. Any kind of protectionism, obstruction and prohibition will be against China. With this, it will also be against the consumers and businessmen of India. It will be harmful for each other and no one should benefit from it. ”
