Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has resigned from the post. It is believed that due to poor health and diseases, Shinzo Abe has resigned from his post. Earlier, Japan’s national broadcaster NHK Channel said on Friday that Abe is fully ready to resign. Reports also said that Shinzo Abe wanted to save the government from the problem due to his deteriorating health condition.

Recently, after making two visits to a hospital, speculation about Shinzo Abe’s health and tenure intensified. He is struggling with his chronic disease ulcerative colitis. Shinzo Abe may address a press conference on Friday to resign and tell about his illness.

Japan’s ruling party officials have said that Shinzo Abe’s health is fine, but there has been speculation about a long visit to the hospital whether he will be able to continue in office until the end of his term in September 2021. He has surpassed a record of the longest tenure set by his great-uncle Aisaku Sato half a century ago.

Earlier in 2007, Shinzo Abe abruptly resigned as Prime Minister, his ruling party suffering a major electoral loss after a year in the scandal-ridden cabinet, after which his health deteriorated. Abe has been getting treatment for his illness ever since.
