Now Ayushman card of 5 lakhs will be available in free, Modi government waived fees

If you are the beneficiary of Ayushman Yojana (Ayushman Bharat Yojana) or you are going to get your registration soon, then the Modi government has given you big relief. Now the Entitlement Card has been made free, whereas earlier there was a charge of 30 rupees on it. This decision of Modi government will provide a lot of relief to poor families.

Now Ayushman card will be available for free

The beneficiaries of the Ayushman Scheme till now used to contact the Common Service Centers (CSC) for the eligibility card, and the rural level operator used to get the card after paying Rs 30. But, now under the new system, taking the card for the first time has been made free.

Charge will be given for making duplicate card

But, the beneficiary will have to pay Rs 15 for duplicate card or reprint. These cards will be given to the beneficiaries after Biometric Authentication.

Decision after agreement in NHA and CSC

The Union Government has announced a fee waiver after an agreement was reached with the National Health Authority (NHA) and the CSC under the Ministry of IT. NHA is a government agency that manages the scheme, while CSC is a private agency that handles its production. The NHA will pay 20 rupees to CSC for the first time when the Ayushman card is issued. The main objective of this agreement is to produce PVC Ayushman cards under the scheme. Apart from this, the system has to be improved under the scheme.

Big relief to the beneficiaries

According to NHA CEO Ramsevak Sharma, a PVC card will no longer be mandatory to take advantage of the Ayushman scheme. Benefit of the scheme will also be available on the basis of beneficiaries who have old cards. Health officials will be able to identify beneficiaries through PVC cards. Also, the needy beneficiaries will be able to get health services without any rigging.

What is Ayushman Bharat Scheme?

Ayushman Bharat Yojana was launched by Modi government in 2017. Under this scheme, poor families get treatment up to 5 lakh rupees for free. So far, more than 1 crore 63 lakh beneficiaries have been treated under this scheme. The special thing is that the beneficiaries of Ayushman card can also get treatment according to the need in any private hospital.
