Precious stones rained from the sky, people became millionaires in this Brazilian village
Often, stones from the sky or from space like this, meteorites keep falling on the earth. But there is nothing special about it that should be noticed. The price of each piece is being told in millions. The price of the largest piece is being estimated at over 19 lakh rupees.
On August 19, meteorite fragments rained down in the Brazilian village of Santa Filomena. People here are calling it a rain of money. Because people collected and kept these stones. Now when scientists examined the stones, it was found that they are rare. If the scientist asked for stones from the people, then they are asking for a price instead. Most people have earned millions of rupees as well.
The cost of the largest piece weighing 40 kilograms is 26 thousand dollars. That is about 19 lakh rupees. It is being told that more than 200 pieces have fallen in Santa Philomena, small and big. These fragments belong to the meteorite that is at the time of the formation of the solar system. By examining these fragments, many mysteries of the universe can be uncovered.
Scientist said that there are only 1 percent meteorites which are sold in lakhs of rupees. The people of this Brazilian village are very poor. Whoever got these stones has become rich overnight. The 20-year-old student, Edimar da Costa Rodrigues, said that the whole sky was filled with smoke that day. Then I got the message that stones are falling from the sky.
It is believed that these meteor bodies are about 4.6 billion years old. These are very rare meteor bodies. They cost thousands of pounds. Gabriel Silva of the Chemistry Institute at Sao Paolo University said that this meteorite is probably one of the first minerals from which this solar system is made.
The local people got information that something fell from the sky in their area which is very valuable, so they said that it is a kind of cash dropped from the sky. Edimar Costa Rodrigues also found a stone of seven centimeters. The reason was 164 grams. He earned around 97 thousand rupees by selling it.
People in the church were saying that God has opened this sack of money for us. A villager earned Rs 14.63 lakh by selling 2.8 kg stone. Rodrigues said that 90 percent of the population of this village is farming. There are not many shops here. To give relief to the people, it has rained.
