Second phase of ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ to Start from Tomorrow

India’s state-run airline Air India is starting the second phase of bringing back stranded Indians from tomorrow.

According to the company, in the second phase, it will be sending more than 140 flights to 31 countries and bringing back about thirty thousand Indians.

Earlier this week, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had told that in the first phase, more than eight thousand Indians stranded in about a dozen countries have been brought back.

The Government of India has named it ‘Vande Bharat Mission’. Under this, the Government of India is sending flights of Air India to various countries, whose tickets are being charged from the passengers.

According to Air India, flights will also be sent to USA, UK, Germany, Australia and France in the second phase. Indians trapped abroad are being brought back in a very systematic manner due to the fear of Corona virus.
