SIT under Manoj Shashidhar to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput case
The CBI has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Under the leadership of Manoj Shashidhar, this team will investigate the case of death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Manoj Shashidhar is a 1994 batch Gujarat cadre IPS officer and is currently working in the post of Joint Director in CBI.
Gagandeep Gambhir will also be part of this investigation team. The central government had informed the Supreme Court on August 5 that they had accepted the recommendation of the Bihar government.
The Bihar government had recommended the Central Government to give the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput case to the CBI.
In this case, the CBI has so far registered an FIR against six people including Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty and his father Indrajit Chakraborty.
The FIR also names Sandhya Chakraborty, Shovik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi.
The CBI has registered a case under sections 420 (cheating), 506 (intimidation) and 120-B (criminal) intrigue of the IPC.
Recently, Sushant Singh’s father KK Singh had lodged an FIR against Riya Chakraborty in Patna Police. Sushant Singh Rajput’s father has spoken out against Riya Chakravarty for raising money and committing suicide in the FIR.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on 14 June.
The CBI has registered a case under sections 420 (cheating), 506 (intimidation) and 120-B (criminal) intrigue of the IPC.
Riya Chakraborty, who was Sushant’s girlfriend, tweeted a month after his death and demanded Home Minister Amit Shah to investigate the death of Sushant Singh Rajput from the CBI.
He wrote, “Sir, I am the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput. A month has passed since Sushant’s death. I have full faith in the government. I want justice to be ensured in this case, so it should be investigated by CBI.” I just want to know under what pressure did Sushant take such a big step. “
