However, there is no clear information about how Facebook completes this integration plan without compromising on data encryption and user security.

According to the code, information like phone number, message counter, archive chat will also be available from this integration. Facebook Messenger will also be able to view profile pictures of members and contacts of selected WhatsApp groups.

WABetaInfo predicts that Facebook may send signals protocols already used by WhatsApp to encrypt and decrypt messages. It is not clear yet whether there will be a disabled option with this feature. But the report says that due to the complexity of this feature, it may be that Facebook will stop this feature completely in the coming time.
