In the preliminary investigation of Mumbai Police, it was found that Sushant committed suicide. At the same time, the CBI has not yet told what was the result of their investigation.

The Narcotics Control Bureau is probing the aspect of drug syndicate operating in Bollywood in this matter. At the same time, the Enforcement Directorate has not found any evidence of misappropriation of money so far.

In such a situation, the question is, in which direction have these investigating agencies proceeded with their investigation? What has been the progress in this investigation so far? Let’s try to understand.

What is the progress made in the CBI investigation so far?

The CBI is currently investigating whether Sushant Singh Rajput took his own life, or whether he was murdered.

The Supreme Court had assigned the task of investigating the Sushant case to the CBI. Ten months have passed since this too. But what happened in this investigation? The CBI has not yet answered this question.

Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been continuously demanding that the CBI investigation report related to the Sushant case be made public.

The CBI has taken statements of Bollywood actress and Sushant’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty, Sushant’s friend Siddharth Pithani, his cooks Neeraj and Deepesh Sawant in this case. CBI had formed a committee to find out whether Sushant was murdered?

The committee was headed by Dr Sudhir Gupta, head of the forensic department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi.

The crime scene was recreated at Sushant’s house. Dr Sudhir Gupta submitted his report to the CBI in September 2020 itself.

Talking to the media, Dr Sudhir Gupta had said that, “Sushant committed suicide by hanging himself. This is a case of suicide. No other marks have been found on his body.”

Meanwhile, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy had sought information from the Prime Minister’s Office regarding this case.

The CBI told him that the investigation of this case is going on and every aspect of the case is being considered.

The CBI said that “the most advanced technology is being used in the investigation of this case. We are collecting the data from the confiscated electronic equipment. Senior police officers have also conducted investigations at various places.”

Then this was the first and last time that the CBI had officially informed about the investigation of the Sushant case. Even then the CBI did not say anything about the conclusion of its investigation.

Former Director General of Maharashtra Police Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has now become the Director of CBI. So the further decision related to the investigation of the Sushant case is now in his hands.

Mumbai Police told, where did the investigation related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput reach?

Enforcement Directorate investigation

Sushant’s family had alleged that Riya Chakraborty had secretly withdrawn Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s bank accounts.

Enforcement Directorate officials believe that there was no transaction between Sushant’s bank accounts and that of Riya or her family members.

Narcotics Control Bureau investigation

While checking Riya Chakraborty’s mobile phone, the Enforcement Directorate had said that it had come to know about the conversation about drugs. Due to this, the Narcotics Control Bureau was also involved in the investigation of the Sushant case.

Riya Chakraborty was arrested by NCB on 8 September 2020. The Narcotics Control Bureau, in her affidavit presented in the court, had said that “Riya had bought drugs. She had tried to cover up Sushant’s habits. It is clear from her WhatsApp chats that she is a drug supply racket.” was attached.”

In October 2020, Riya got bail from the Bombay High Court.

The Narcotics Control Bureau has so far arrested more than 30 people in connection with the drugs related to Sushant’s death. Riya’s brother Shauvik was also among those arrested. Shouvik was also released later.

Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested Siddharth Pithani, a resident of Sushant’s flat, on May 26 this year.

Narcotics Control Bureau Inspector General Sameer Wankhede said about Siddharth’s arrest that “Siddharth Pithani was absconding. He was caught from Hyderabad. The investigation is going on.”

The arrest of Siddharth Pithani is said to be important because when Sushant died, Siddharth was present in Sushant’s flat at that time.

In this case, the Narcotics Control Bureau has so far answered questions from actresses like Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and actor Arjun Kapoor.

But till now information has not been received about what questions were answered from these Bollywood stars. Or, what are the charges against them?

What did the Mumbai Police investigate?

Sushant’s death was a high profile affair. But, Sushant did not leave any suicide note behind him.

Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Trimukhe had earlier said that, “According to the postmortem report, Sushant died of suffocation due to hanging.”

Some fabric fibers were definitely found around Sushant’s neck. The Mumbai Police had confiscated that cloth from Sushant’s flat. Forensic officials said that “the cloth could bear a weight of up to 200 kg.”

Politics over investigation of Bihar Police

Sushant’s family had questioned the investigation of the Mumbai Police and they had filed a fresh complaint with the Bihar Police, related to Sushant’s death.

Due to the allegations of Sushant’s family, there was a political turn in the case of his death.

This matter had cropped up just before the assembly elections in Bihar. From the local level to the capital, this issue became a source of political accusations and counter-allegations.

A team of Bihar Police went to Mumbai to investigate the matter. In this case, questions were raised on the authority of Bihar Police to investigate and many dramatic scenes were also seen with the team of Bihar Police who went to Mumbai.

Due to this, there was a lot of verbal war between Bihar and Maharashtra too.

So even though five different agencies have been involved in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, it still remains a mystery whether Sushant committed suicide or not. Since this case is now with the CBI, then Sushant’s fans and others are waiting for the statement of CBI in this case.
