China’s Foreign Ministry said that the Chinese government is going to ban American individuals and institutions who misbehaved on topics related to Xinjiang.

Under this decision, China has imposed sanctions on US senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Chris Smith and Sam Brownbuck. Brownbuck is the ambassador of the International Religious Freedom Committee in the Trump administration.

Along with this, restrictions have also been imposed on the American Parliamentary Executive Committee made for China.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Channing has said that these restrictions will come into force from Monday itself.

Hua also said, “The US move has interfered in China’s internal affairs, violated the basic rules of international relations and severely damaged Sino-US relations.” China strongly opposes these steps and strongly condemns these steps. “

However, he has not told what steps the government can take under these restrictions.

Why did China take this step

The Chinese government has blamed the US decision for this, under which the Trump government had imposed sanctions against Chinese leaders.

In fact, the US government last week imposed sanctions against top leaders of the Chinese Communist Party responsible for the Vigar Muslim camps in Xinjiang province.

According to the US Treasury Department, these Chinese officials include the Communist Party of China’s Secretary Chen Quangoo in Xinjiang and Zhu Hailun who implemented this policy of the Chinese government.

The US government has also targeted Wang Mingshan, the head of the Xinjiang Public Security Bureau, and Huo Liujun, the former head of the bureau.

Under these restrictions, conducting financial transactions with these officials in the US has come under the category of crime. With this, the American assets of these Chinese officials have also been sealed.

Last week, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, “The US government will not continue to see human rights violations of the Weigar community, the Qazaq community and other minority communities in Xinjiang province by the Chinese Communist Party as a silent spectator.”

Veigar Muslims and international controversy

In the latest case, after these restrictions from the US, China has also imposed similar restrictions on the US authorities.

But this is not the first time that the US has tried to surround China on the subject of Vigar Muslims.

In China’s autonomous region Xinjiang, the population of the Weigar Muslim community is about 45 percent of the total population there.

But from time to time, there have been reports of alleged atrocities from China on many other minority communities of the region, including Vigar Muslims.

Human rights groups and the United Nations have said that China has imprisoned more than 1 million Weigar and other ethnic minorities in the province. There are prison houses built here in a very large area.

There are allegations that in these detainees people are forced to leave Islam, speak only Chinese Mandarin language and follow the rules of the Chinese leftist government.

China has always denied these reports and the subsequent international allegations.

But in the year 2019, the US government blacklisted 28 Chinese institutions working in the US in this case.

On this step of his government, Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo had said that the Chinese government is carrying out ‘a very oppressive campaign’.

He had said, “A large number of people have been kept in detention camps, they are monitored at a high level. People have strict control over their religious and cultural identity. “

China’s counterattack policy

Even before China and America have imposed restrictions on each other in this manner.

Since the start of the trade war between the US and China, till now, both countries have been targeting each other on different issues in the same manner.

In recent cases, the issue of the implementation of new security laws is prominent from Weigar Muslims to Tibet and Hong Kong.

On the subject of Hong Kong, US National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien said on Wednesday that China has captured Hong Kong by bringing a new security law.

NSA Robert O’Brien said, “In the coming days and weeks you will see that America is going to take many big steps against China. No President of America has stood in front of China in this way except President Donald Trump. . Trump is the first to impose large trade tariffs in China in view of trade imbalances. ” But now it will be seen how the reaction of the American government will come after these restrictions on American leaders towards China on the issue of Vigar Muslims.
