Shortly after Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket, Suresh Raina has also said goodbye to international cricket. He shared a picture on Instagram with Dhoni and some players of Team India. He wrote, “It was wonderful to play with you, Mahi. Proud of heart, I am joining you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind.”

Suresh Raina and Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s friendship is well known. Both cricketers have also played together for years in the IPL team Chennai Super Kings. On many occasions, Dhoni players have also known their deep friendship towards each other.

If you look at Suresh Raina’s international career, he has played 18 Test matches, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is. Raina has scored 768 runs in Tests with a century and seven half-centuries, while in ODIs he has scored five centuries and 36 half-centuries and during this time, his bat produced 5615 runs at an average of 35.

Raina is known for his sharp knocks. He played 66 innings in his T20 international career, scoring 1605 runs at an average of over 29. During this, he also scored one century and five centuries.
