Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won India One Day World Cup after 28 years, has been appointed by the ICC as the captain of his 50 overs team of this decade. In this team, apart from Dhoni, there are two more Indians, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli. Australia’s David Warner and Mitchell Starc have also been selected in this team.

Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and England’s Ben Stokes are the two all-rounders in this team. Imran Tahir of South Africa is the second spinner in the team. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former captain of the Indian team, has been selected by the ICC as the captain of their best T20 team of this decade. The current captain of the Indian team in this team is also Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah. Apart from AB de Villiers of South Africa and Kieron Pollard from the West Indies, Chris Gayle has got a place in this team. Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is the only spinner in the team.

The ICC has also announced the best Test team of the decade from 2011 to 2020, in which Virat Kohli has become the captain. Apart from Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin has got a place as a spin bowler.

Former England captain Alastair Cook and Australia’s David Warner have got place as opening batsmen of this team. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has been placed at number three and captain Virat Kohli at number four.

West Indies’ Stephanie Taylor and Anisa Mohammed have also found a place in the team. Sarah Taylor is the only player from England. Suzy Bates is also single from New Zealand. Don von Niekerk and Marijane Cap are from South Africa.

India’s T20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Poonam Yadav have managed to make it to the ICC Women’s T20 team of this decade. Harmanpreet, however, was not made the captain of this team. Meg Lenning of Australia is the captain of the team.

The opener responsibility is on Alyssa Hilly of Australia and Sophie DeWine of New Zealand. Suzi Bates is at number three and captain at number four. It is followed by Harmanpreet, Stephanie Taylor of the West Indies, Deandra Dottin, Alyssa Parry of Australia, Anya Shrubsol of England, Megan Shut of Australia and Poonam Yadav.
