India has given great legends of cricket to Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev.

1) Rohit Sharma – Largest individual score in ODIs

In 2014, Rohit Sharma played the biggest innings in ODI cricket history against Sri Lanka, in this innings, Rohit scored a world record innings of 264 runs with the help of 33 fours and 9 sixes at the Eden Gardens ground.

2) Sachin Tendulkar – most centuries in a calendar year

Sachin Tendulkar is the batsman to score the most centuries in a calendar year in international cricket. Sachin scored a total of 12 centuries at the international level in 1998. No one has been able to break this record of Sachin for 22 years.

 3) Sachin Tendulkar – Most Test Matches

Sachin Tendulkar is the most Test-playing cricketer. Sachin played 200 Tests in a 25-year marathon career. Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting is second in the list with 168 Tests.

4) Sunil Gavaskar – 4 consecutive centuries on two different grounds

Known as the Little Master, Sunil Gavaskar, one of the greatest batsmen in Test cricket history, is the only batsman to score 4 consecutive centuries on two different grounds in Test cricket. Gavaskar has done this feat at the Port of Spain and the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

5) Virender Sehwag – As the only batsman to score 7500+ runs in opener test and ODI

Virender Sehwag is one of the most explosive openers in the history of cricket. Sehwag is the only batsman to score 7500+ runs as an opener in Tests and ODIs.

6) Yuvraj Singh – Man of the match winning players in the three ICC tournament knockout matches

Yuvraj Singh is the only cricketer in the world to have won Man of the Match in all three ICC tournament T20 World, World Cup and Champions Trophy knockouts.

7) Rohit Sharma – The only player to be involved in 150+ run partnership in T20I 3 times

Rohit Sharma has been involved in 150+ runs in the international T-Twenty three times, the other batsmen have not been able to do this feat.

8) Rishabh Pant- Youngest wicket-keeper to score 150+ runs in Test against Australia

India’s promising batsman Rishabh Pant is the youngest wicket-keeper batsman to score 150+ runs against Australia in Test cricket. Pant did this feat in 2018.

9) MS Dhoni – the only wicketkeeper to score 175+ runs in Tests and ODIs.

Indian veteran MS Dhoni is the only wicketkeeper batsman in the world to score 175+ runs in Tests and ODIs.

10) Virat Kohli – Fastest 10000 runs in ODIs

Virat Kohli is the fastest batsman to complete 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. Kohli did the feat in only 205 innings, while Sachin, who was included in this list, did this feat in 259 innings.
