At the same time, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel has asked all the teams to give a list of their retainers and release players before January 21. It is believed that all the teams can release their list of Retained and Released players on January 20.

The BCCI has also set certain conditions for under-19 players who want to participate in the auction. All such players should be registered with the state associations and the player must have played at least one first class or List A match.

Chennai Super Kings had just Rs 15 lakh left after the last auction and are expected to increase their budget by releasing at least two expensive players in the form of Kedar Jadhav and Piyush Chawla.

On the other hand, Mumbai can retain all their big players, probably because of their good combination. However, the team can also release some players to increase their budget of one crore 95 lakh rupees. Rajasthan Royals will have the highest amount of Rs 14 crore 75 lakh, while the Sunrisers Hyderabad team will enter the auction with an amount of Rs 10 crore 10 lakh. Delhi Capitals will have nine crore, Kolkata Knight Riders will have eight crore 50 lakh and Royal Challengers Bangalore will have an amount of six crore 40 lakh.
