Pakistan Cricket Board imposes a three-year Ban on Umar Akmal

Umar Akmal, a Pakistani cricketer from the neighboring country, has been banned for 3 years. Umar Akmal will no longer be able to play in any sports format for 3 years. The Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB) has informed this through a post made on the social media platform Twitter.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wrote in its tweet which is as follows: “Umar Akmal handed three-year ban from all cricket by Chairman of the Disciplinary Panel Mr Justice (retired) Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan.”

Now let us try to know why this ban is imposed on the Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal. He was accused of corruption and this action has been taken against him in the same case. Umar Akmal was banned from taking part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) a day before it started. According to information from Pakistani media, Umar Akmal was involved with the bookmaker, and was accused of fixing the match. And his cellphone was taken into custody by the investigation committee. After investigation, the Pakistan Cricket Board has taken this decision.
