Mi TV Stick will be launched in India on August 5, ordinary TV will become smart
Xiaomi launched its Mi TV Stick Global this month. Now in India too, the company has released its teaser and it will be launched here as well.
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is preparing to launch Mi TV Stick in India. This stick will work like Amazon Fire TV. That is, it can be used like a smart TV by putting it in standard TV.
Xiaomi has released its teaser and the company is promoting it with the Plug Make It Smart hashtag. It is worth noting that Xiaomi launched Mi TV Stick Global earlier this month.
It will be launched in India on 5 August. On the same day, the company can launch some more products and services in India, because recently the company’s India head Manu Jain has said that on August 5, five big announcements can be made from the company.
Talking about Mi TV Stick, it will get support for many types of apps by putting it in the TV. These include Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Hot Star and News and OTT apps.
It can be installed in any TV with HDMI support. Bluetooth based remote will be provided with this. It has 8GB internal storage with 1GB of RAM. It has support for full HD playback.
What will be its price in India is not clear at the moment. But Mi TV Stick was launched globally for 39.99 Euros (about Rs. 3,400).
The price of Amazon Fire TV Stick in India is also under Rs 5,000. In this case, the company can compete with Amazon Fire TV in the Indian market by launching it cheaper.
